The Social Development Bank provides (13) billion riyals to contribute to raising women’s economic and development participation

The Social Development Bank celebrated International Women's Day, a day dedicated to honoring the achievements of women throughout history, and reviewing the successes they have contributed in all fields, as the Bank confirmed that it gives women great attention, which emerges from the interest and keenness of the wise leadership and the initiatives it undertakes to increase women's contributions. In economic and social participation and encouraging work, as well as empowering women and enhancing their leadership role in sectors.

On this occasion, the Bank reviewed the role it plays in supporting Saudi women through the programs, services and financial and non-financial initiatives it provides with the aim of achieving the Bank’s objectives and directions in social protection, sufficiency and production programmes, and increasing women’s participation in the labor market in order to achieve financial and social inclusion .

The bank provided support and empowerment to Saudi women through a number of programs and services, as the bank’s funding for women exceeded (13) billion riyals, for more than (300) thousand women. These numbers achieved by the bank in supporting women contributed to the growth of the number of beneficiaries (400%) in three years. Over the past years, the bank continues to achieve successes and achievements in the field of enhancing its development role .

The bank’s support for women was not limited to financing and lending, but rather included providing non-financial services such as incubation, training, and capacity building services, through the Empowerment and Development Department, business and product incubators, and the Dilni Business Center, as well as in cooperation with leading rehabilitation centers, bringing the number of women beneficiaries of these programs to (60) thousand beneficiaries in All regions of the Kingdom .

These efforts come in light of providing support and empowerment to women and investing in their capabilities in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 .
