The Social Development Bank reacts to the case of the “Slapped Mecca Girl”
The director of the Social Development Bank branch in Mecca, Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, received yesterday morning, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the bank branch in Mecca, Saida Majrashi (the slapped girl of Mecca), and with her were her sister Amal and her brother Gibran, the girl who was assaulted and beaten by someone in the street while she was searching for a living. A video clip of her beating her spread on social media, and a hashtag was launched on Twitter called #Slapped_Girl of Mecca.

The Governor of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, directed the formation of an urgent committee and the arrest of the person responsible for the beating, and he was arrested within a short period.
At the beginning of the meeting, the director of the bank’s branch in Mecca, Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, welcomed the girl Saida and her brothers, thanking them for their presence and responding to the invitation. After that, he presented multiple offers from the bank’s financing products to help Saida and her brothers in opening their own projects with funding from the Social Development Bank. And benefit from the bank’s opportunities and services in financing micro-enterprises and productive families, so that the bank can guarantee them and their siblings a decent life, God willing.
The director of the branch of the Social Development Bank in Mecca promised, during his reception of Saida Majrashi and her siblings, to overcome all the obstacles facing them and to speed up the process of them benefiting from the bank’s services immediately after they obtain proof of their Saudi identity.
The bank's branch in Mecca also coordinated with a hospital in Mecca, funded by the Social Development Bank and specialized in ophthalmology and surgery, to present the case of the brother of the "slapped girl" "Gibran" On them, a free examination visit has been scheduled for next Thursday at nine o’clock in the morning for the girl’s brother.
