Empress Saudi Arabia resumes its program in Qassim
The Saudi Empretech program for entrepreneurs, affiliated with the United Nations Trade and Development Organization (UNCTAD), was launched yesterday, Saturday, and is implemented by the Social Development Bank on Avenue 30 in Buraidah. It will continue until next Thursday, with 50 training hours and attendance at the full capacity of the program. The program was resumed after a one-year hiatus due to the circumstances of the pandemic, and the Saudi Empretech program focuses on enhancing the entrepreneurial behaviors that male and female entrepreneurs who own micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises need to contribute to supporting entrepreneurs to advance their businesses and make them more efficient and able to compete locally and internationally, in a way that enhances the growth of these enterprises to achieve The goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 are to reach 65% of the private sector’s contribution to the gross domestic product. The program provided by the Social Development Bank works to provide participants with an objective and comprehensive assessment of their entrepreneurial capabilities and competencies, and to provide tools for practicing and applying the personal competencies of a successful entrepreneur, in addition to enhancing the self-confidence of the participants. The Social Development Bank seeks to empower male and female entrepreneurs in the Kingdom by attracting accredited international programs and intensive training workshops that reflect positively on business owners in the Kingdom to increase the chances of business success and give them the opportunity to engage in real experiences and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses in order to create an economic development environment that contributes to achieving the desired aspirations. It is worth noting that the Empretec International Program of the United Nations Trade and Development Organization (UNCTAD) was launched in Saudi Arabia in 2013 by the Social Development Bank, and 22 training workshops were held at the level of the Kingdom’s regions, targeting business owners and women entrepreneurs in (Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam), and it is currently being conducted. Its establishment is in the Qassim region in the city of Buraidah, and the Social Development Bank is moving forward to expand to establish the program in all regions of the Kingdom.
