During the current month of Dhu al-Qi'dah, the Social Development Bank, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, launched a series of training camps within the Technology Pioneers Program

In each of (Jeddah, Riyadh, Al-Ahsa, and Arar) simultaneously, in order to develop the skills and build the capabilities of (400) participants of male and female entrepreneurs in the emerging technologies sector. These camps aim to provide the opportunity for male and female participants to acquire practical skills and skills over a period of five continuous days. .

The Bank's organization of the Technology Pioneers Program comes from the standpoint of supporting, empowering and motivating small and emerging enterprises in the emerging technologies sector.

In this regard, the Bank’s General Manager of Partnerships and Marketing, Ms. Nour Al-Abdulkarim, stated that the outcomes of the training camps implemented by the Bank in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in the Technology Pioneers Program, will be nominated to benefit from business accelerators within the same program and open the door to applying for the emerging technologies portfolio that it offers. The bank is one of the financing products designated for emerging and small projects.

Al-Abdulkarim stated that the bank seeks, through organizing the “Technology Pioneers Programme” in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, to provide a package of various capabilities, whether financing and non-financial services, to small and emerging projects in the emerging technologies sector, indicating that the bank is working to accelerate the launch of small projects in the sector. Emerging technologies, by providing financing solutions. The bank also works to provide financing to establish projects in various modern technologies, which include artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, virtual reality, 3D printing, robotics, e-commerce, smart applications, cloud computing, and financial technologies. The bank had previously In the presence and patronage of the Minister of Labor and Social Development, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Development Bank, and the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, he signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, to support, finance and stimulate projects and activities of emerging technologies, by establishing a financial portfolio amounting to one billion riyals, in line with the objectives of the vision. Kingdom 2030 aims to diversify sources of national income, advance the progress of the Saudi economy, and create more job opportunities for the sons and daughters of the nation.

It is worth noting that the portfolio targets emerging technology sector projects to support and develop technology, in addition to technology business accelerators and incubators, smart application developers, male and female technology entrepreneurs, and individuals wishing to invest in the field of emerging technology.
