Memorandum of cooperation between the Social Development Bank and the Drug Control Committee

The Social Development Bank and the Secretariat of the National Anti-Drug Committee signed a joint cooperation agreement in the field of community prevention and contributing to reducing the spread of drugs among members of society, spreading the culture of awareness of combating drugs, supporting activities that consolidate and promote this, and preserving the gains resulting from cases of recovery from drug addiction. Empowering social development tools and enhancing the financial independence of individuals by providing a package of social financing products, programs and non-financial services that contribute to empowering citizens and productive families with the aim of providing services in accordance with best practices.

The Social Development Bank was represented by the General Supervisor of Empowerment and Development and Advisor to the CEO, Mr. Saeed Al-Zahrani, in signing the memorandum of cooperation, while the secretariat of the National Anti-Drug Committee was represented by the Director of the Support and Rehabilitation Fund, Abdullah Al-Issa, in the presence of His Excellency the Secretary-General of the National Anti-Drug Committee, Major General Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa .

The most prominent areas of cooperation are working on preparing studies and research that serve the areas of work of both parties to the cooperative memorandum, providing training and capacity building, and exchanging experiences that serve the target segment, in addition to introducing the target segments to an effective self-employment product and financial services provided by the bank to support and enable community members to practice... Self-employment brings them a financial return as a basic income or to increase their monthly income .

The agreement signed between the two parties includes cooperation in the field of supporting relevant joint research and studies, and the exchange of advisory services and scientific advice to meet the needs of each party, as the Social Development Bank and the General Secretariat of the National Narcotics Control Committee will participate in exhibitions, conferences and workshops related to combating drugs and psychotropic substances. Which is organized by both parties in common areas .
