Signing a memorandum of understanding between the Development Bank and the Beck Foundation
The Social Development Bank and the Pick Logistics Foundation for Information Technology (PICK) signed a memorandum of understanding to provide discounted logistical services, represented by providing delivery solutions for micro-enterprises and home projects, on Thursday 3/9/1438 AH, corresponding to 12/8/2016 AD, at the headquarters of the General Administration. At the bank in Riyadh.
The process of inaugurating this service and signing the agreement was carried out on the part of the bank by the Assistant General Manager of the Bank for the Small Projects Sector, Eng. Ghazi Al-Shahrani, and on the part of the institution by the Executive Director of the BEC Logistics Corporation, Engineer Muhammad bin Fahd Al-Hassan. This memorandum aims to consolidate the efforts between The Bank and the Foundation to provide the best logistical services to the Bank’s clients who are productive families, as the Bank will contribute to providing non-financial assistance to productive families funded and not financed by the Bank and provide delivery offers provided by the Company for these home projects, in addition to providing advertising sponsorship to the Foundation by participating in activities related to supporting families. Producing, and announcing the launch of the Bey Logistics platform on social media platforms and on the bank’s official website. The institution will also provide full support by providing the best and most appropriate solutions and integrated logistical services to provide to the beneficiaries of the bank’s services, such as delivering products from the bank’s customers to the final beneficiary, payment services upon payment. Receiving and storage services, in addition to providing their services at encouraging and competitive prices to those who benefit from the bank’s services.
His Excellency Eng. Ghazi Al-Shahrani stated that the bank, based on the outcomes of the “Hands of Charity” workshop, which was adopted by His Excellency Minister Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, which discussed the challenges and projects of productive families and came up with 77 initiatives and proposed solutions in which female clients from productive families from various regions of the Kingdom participated. Charitable societies and government agencies reported on the reality of productive families in the Kingdom, which led to identifying most of the obstacles and difficulties that productive families face that prevent them from working professionally, including the obstacle of delivery from the seller to the customer. From this standpoint, coordination was made with the Bey Foundation to provide logistical services. There are many initiatives in the logistical aspect that will be launched successively.
While Mr. Abdul Salam Al-Tuwaijri, Director of the Business Development Department, stated that the signing of the memorandum of understanding with the BIC Foundation and the launch of this service is only the first initiative of the Social Development Bank in relation to logistical support for the micro-enterprise sector and home projects, and it is the result of a workshop. Aid Al-Khair in confronting the challenges facing productive family projects, and Al-Tuwaijri noted that the micro-enterprise sector and productive families still need the entry of more investors in the field of logistics services.
