The Social Development Bank discloses its statistics for the third quarter of 2020
The Social Development Bank revealed its results for the third fiscal quarter of the current year 2020 AD, and the financing that was approved for small and emerging enterprises, projects for productive families, social financing programs, and self-employment, as the number of beneficiaries exceeded (60) thousand beneficiaries, and with financing exceeding 3 billion riyals, A growth rate of 68% compared to the same quarter of last year 2019.
In addition to its support for the enterprise sector for the third quarter of the current year 2020 AD, the bank disclosed that it had approved financing for (723) establishments with a value amounting to (1.5) billion riyals, and the report shows the growth rate in the value of financing for approved projects amounting to 574% over the corresponding quarter of 2019 AD.
The bank also financed more than (8,000) productive families with a financing value of (94) million riyals, with a growth rate of 177% over the previous quarter .
With regard to the self-employment product Nafath, which is a financing product directed to citizens who are able to work and wish to increase their monthly income, the bank has approved financing for more than (24) thousand beneficiaries with a value amounting to (1.3) billion riyals, which varied between financing shared transportation for those who work via vehicle guidance systems. And those with qualitative, creative, and craftsmanship skills and work .
At the level of social financing programs, the bank has financed more than (23) thousand beneficiaries with a value amounting to (1.2) billion riyals, which included financing the marriage, family and restoration product, and a fund allocated to support women. Through this product, the bank has financed (1,270) women with a value exceeding ( 37) One million riyals .
The Social Development Bank is also keen to raise the level of financial awareness and promote and encourage the culture of saving, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as the number of subscribers to the Zod Savings Program for individuals and productive families during the third quarter of 2020 reached more than (14.5) thousand subscribers, with a growth rate of 19% over the quarter. Similar in 2019 AD, bringing the number of Zod Savings Program subscribers to (50) thousand subscribers by the end of the third quarter 2020, with total savings exceeding (140) million riyals .
In addition to its financing services, the Development Bank provides a number of non-financial services with the aim of developing members of society economically and socially, through the establishment of a number of events, activities, programs and services. The Bank launched one of the most prominent development events to support and stimulate productive families, represented by the event (90 products by Saudi hands), within The bank’s contributions to participate in the activities of the 90th National Day with professional, craftsmanship and qualitative products produced and manufactured by Saudi hands. (13) agreements were also signed with microfinance partners from various regions of the Kingdom, with a value amounting to (20) million riyals, to provide financing, capacity building and training, and product enforcement. For markets, allocating business incubators, etc., more than 140 productive families participated in this event, in addition to the bank’s participation in (11) events, through which it enabled more than 80 sales outlets for productive families, such as the Dates Festival in Buraidah and Al Quwayiyah, the Pomegranate Festival in Al-Baha, and other events in various regions. The bank also signed (8) agreements with brands within the commercial franchise program for those wishing to benefit from those brands that have proven success in the market and enjoy high profitability rates and low risk rates, by granting them the right to franchise from the franchisor, who has the right to operate the systems for use.
