The Social Development Bank was honored by the International Organization for Finance for Youth and Children, as one of the five best participants within the Global Money Week (GMW), with the participation of 170 countries, which was held in South Africa. The bank’s honor comes within the top five participations in the Global Money Week, as part of the Social Development Bank’s efforts to promote and disseminate financial culture, encourage saving, and raise the level of financial awareness among members of society. The bank participated in the Global Money Week by providing a package of training courses, lectures, and a number of Nearly 4,000 men and women benefited from workshops related to spreading financial awareness in the most prominent cities and regions of the Kingdom. It is worth noting that the bank is keen to create an impact in society with regard to spreading financial culture among segments of society, so it has qualified a specialized team consisting of 40 male and female ambassadors at the level of the Kingdom’s administrative governorates with the aim of deepening the concepts of saving and financial planning, as (535) courses were provided for (33,234) beneficiaries and (204) courses for (12,606) beneficiaries in 2018. The bank also launched the “#Your_Ambition_Greater_Campaign,” which is an awareness campaign on financial culture and saving directed at users of social media channels, with the aim of spreading the culture of saving and financial planning for the future and consolidating the concept of awareness. financial services within society, reducing consumerism and encouraging people to start saving at an early age.
