The Social Development Bank trains and empowers prisoners and their families in handicrafts in cooperation with the General Directorate of Prisons
In light of the agreement signed with the General Directorate of Prisons through the Creative Fingers Association, the Social Development Bank provided a number of non-financial services to prisoners, those released, and their families within the “Create your future with your fingertips” initiative, from which more than 93 participants in the aftercare project benefited, including 40. From the families of those released, 20 male and female trainees from the target segments were trained, with the aim of launching to all regions of the Kingdom and transferring the experience, in addition to providing a number of introductory meetings and general training courses, from which 3,842 beneficiaries benefited, with 54 courses distributed over 29 cities.
The agreement concluded with the General Directorate of Prisons, “the Aftercare Initiative for Prisoners and the Released,” aims to spread the culture of self-employment, financial management of inmates, training inmates as well as prison workers, and building capabilities for target groups. It also includes finding joint solutions for social lending and projects, and this comes As an embodiment of the role of the Social Development Bank in activating the social and economic role through the financial and non-financial programs and services it provides, including prison inmates, which reflects positively on empowerment and its aspects .
