Introduce yourself (a brief introduction)?
Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al-Aqeel, a graduate of Business Administration from King Abdulaziz University, worked for four years in the Saudi Industrial Development Fund in the Marketing Department, and three years in the Zamil Industrial Company, after which she opened the biscuit factory.
Talk about your project
My project is an ice cream biscuit factory, and then development to upgrade popular products with modern packaging that rises to the ranks of developed countries.
How did you start your project idea and why did you choose it?
The idea started by searching for investment opportunities, so the choice was to start this project due to the lack of competition and the increase in demand and market needs.
How did you hear about SDB financing?
I heard from some colleagues and through daily newspapers and bank news.
How did you find this funding and how much was it?
It was a major supporter of the project.
Did you encounter difficulties at the beginning of launching your project? How did you manage to overcome it?
Difficulties exist, but he who sows finds and he who sows reaps, and any obstacles or difficulties that may arise must be overcome. After relying on God, persistence and ambition overcome the difficulties.
What is the status of your project now, and did it provide you with a satisfactory income level?
The situation, praise be to God, is improving and expanding. There is satisfaction from the factory’s customers and praise for the factory’s products, praise be to God. This is from the grace of my Lord.
There are those who fear failure, how do you direct them?
Failure is the first threshold for success. I went through five failure thresholds, and the sixth was, praise be to God, the threshold of success. I thank God, and after that the bank, which was one of the elements of the success of the factory.
What word would you like to direct to young people, especially those who are about to enter the world of finance and business?
Not to rush matters, to give every right its due, to study any project carefully and deeply, and to ask and consult experts before embarking on it.
What would you like to say to SDB?
I say to the bank a thousand thanks and greetings to all its employees, headed by His Excellency the General Manager, as the bank has become a symbol and a crown on the heads of all those who have benefited from its services.
Which is better for you, the job or the self-employment?
I am one of the first young people to call for quitting their job and going into self-employment, as our religion encourages making a living and trading.
What are your future ambitions in your project?
The ambition is for our products to reach all countries of the world, God willing, and for the Saudi chaabiat to be sold in the Champs-Elysées in Paris, London and America, God willing.
